Day 1: Arrive Christchurch
On arrival to Christchurch Airport, transfer to your hotel.
Evening at leisure, overnight at hotel. Day 2: At Christchurch
After breakfast, depart for half day city tour of Christchurch. Following the pickup from guests accommodation, the tour commences by covering the central city highlights, including Cathedral You will be collected from your Hotel/Motel, the tour then travels through the University of Canterbury, down to Riccarton House and Bush and then through Monavale Gardens where you will have a chance to have a short stroll with 5.5 hectares of richly landscaped gardens, ponds and fountains.
The tour then continues into the central city, through Hagley park, the boat sheds, Botanical Gardens Arts Centre in the historic Buildings that were once Canterbury University, past the Museum, Art Galley and Victoria Clock Tower before moving on to the Catholic Basillica, then onto the seaside suburb of Sumner, then to Lyttleton Harbour, a volcanic crater which is now the port of Christchurch.
The tour then ends with a visit to the Sign of the Takahe, situated on the volcanic ridges of the cashmere hills, provides spectacular views of the Canterbury Plains and Southern Alps, you will be then returned to your accommodation.Evening at leisure.
Overnight at hotel. Day 3: Christchurch-Queenstown
Today after breakfast we depart for the beautiful city of Queenstown by bus, upon arrival check into hotel, remaining day at leisure. Day 4: At Queenstown
After having an early breakfast, we depart for the famous Milford Sound cruise at 0700hrs.
Described as the 8th wonder of the world, Milford Sound is a journey, not just a destination. Embark on a day trip through Fiordland National Park and the Te Wai Pounamu World Heritage Site in a luxury glass-roofed coach from Queenstown. Depart Queenstown for a scenic journey south between The Remarkable mountain range and Lake Wakatipu. Enjoy 2 hours on the fiord and experience the spray of the waterfalls from the safety of inside the boat – or be brave and get right under it. Then, it’s time to get back on the coach for the return journey to Queenstown.
Overnight at hotel. Day 5: At Queenstown
Today after breakfast we depart to enjoy the Luge Rides and Skyline Gondola.
Remaining day at leisure. Overnight at hotel. Day 6: Queenstown -Franz Josef
Today we depart for the beautiful glacier town of Franz Josef.
Overnight at Hotel. Day 7: At Franz Josef
Morning free for optional activities like Helicopter Ride with Snow Landing- See the Franz Josef Glacier from the air on a scenic 20-minute helicopter flight above ice falls, snowfields, and crevasses. Experience the thrill of a snow landing to see the icy landscape up close and take in incredible views across the glacier.
Overnight at hotel. Day 8: Franz Josef- Christchurch
Today we depart back to Christchurch. We leave the hotel for Grey-mouth Railway Station wherein we take the beautiful Scenic Tranz Alpine train to Christchurch. Overnight at hotel. Day 9: Depart Christchurch
After breakfast, leave for the airport for your flight back to India. |
