North East India comprises seven states commonly known as the “Seven Sisters”. They are Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura. Sharing a border with China, Bangladesh, Mynamar, Bhutan connected with the rest of India by a small 20 km corridor! Our North East India Package covers the region renowned for its magical beauty and bewildering diversity, and wide diversity in culture.
Each state is a traveler’s paradise, with picturesque hills and green meadows which shelter thousands of species of flora and fauna. In addition, the states provide scope for angling, boating, rafting, trekking, and hiking. Besides, there are several wildlife sanctuaries and national parks where rare animals, birds and plants which will surely provide fascinating insight to the visitors. Our North East Tour package aims to showcase the wonderous beauty of this region.

Our North East Tour Package is operated for a small private group of 5-9 passengers and transported in an Innova vehicle. There are special departure plans for 30 September, 5 October, 10 October and 24 October, 2022.
Day 01 – Arrive at Imphal (There are daily morning flights to reach by mid day)
We arrive at Imphal - the capital of Manipur by flight around mid-day. Transfer to hotel. some free time to unwind...
Then proceed on a brief sightseeing tour. The landscape is all but a mix of hills, valleys, forests & several rivers.
Sightseeing covering “Kangla Palace” ... the traditional seat of the past “Meitei” Rulers. Later proceed to visit “Ima Keithel” – The largest market run by women only. This showcases the strong presence the Manipuri women hold in the Society.
Overnight at Imphal.
Day 02 – Excursion trip to Loktak Lake & Keibul Lamjao National Park
Morning, after breakfast proceeds for an excursion trip to Loktak Lake & Keibul Lamjao National Park & en-route visit INA Museum.
Loktak Lake is the largest freshwater lake in North East India, which is located in the Bishnupur District just 50kms from Imphal. The lake is famous for its circular floating swamps or “Phumdis” or the heterogeneous mass of vegetation, soil & organic matter at various stages of decomposition floating over it.
Enroute to “Keibul Lamjao National Park”, visit the Indian National Army War Museum, the only official museum dedicated to the Second World War in Manipur.
Later, visit the “Keibul Lamjao National Park”, being the only floating National Park in the World. It comprises of 40 sq.km. of wetland overgrown with 1.5m deep floating vegetation.

Day 03 –Transfer to Kohima (140kms/06hrs). Altitude 4738 ft
Morning, transfer to Kohima the capital of Nagaland.
Check-in at Hotel. Evening free for individual activity & leisure. Overnight at Kohima.
Kohima is perched at an altitude of 4,738 ft, a pretty hill station, with panoramic views of the rugged Naga Hills.
During the Second World War, Kohima had witnessed the fiercest fifty day-and-night non-stop fight portraying the valor of the daring Naga tribes that is unmatchable with any, bearing testimony to which stands an epitaph at the War Cemetery in Kohima – which reads “When you go home, tell them of us: that for their tomorrow, we gave our today”.
Day 04 – Kohima local Sightseeing
Today visit Kisama Naga Heritage Complex. This pavilion serves as a Window to Nagaland & aims at showcasing the state in a single platform, through which one can have a peep into the Naga Heritage. This Complex is famous for hosting the revered “Hornbill Festival”.
Next drive to the Touphema village (45kms/ 2 hrs) of the Angami Tribe - walk around the village, meet the locals and also visit the museum displaying handlooms and handicrafts to wonderful myths, legends and stories of the Angami people.
After lunch, late afternoon visit the famous war cemetery, a symbolic memorial raised as a citation for the supreme sacrifice made by the officers and men of the Allied forces during World War II.
Overnight at Kohima.
Day 05 – Kohima to Jorhat (6.5 hrs/196 kms)
Morning, drive to Jorhat for a stay in any one of the Heritage Tea Bungalows.
Jorhat was the last capital of the Ahom Kingdom. Today it has the largest Tea Research Station in the country and is therefore known as the Tea Capital of India. Later proceed to visit one of these lush green & tranquil tea estates. See the colorful women pluckers as they chatter and sing while meticulously plucking the freshest two leaves-and-a-buds from the bushes. Enter the factory and get a first-hand knowledge of how tea is made. Learn the art of tea-tasting from the masters. A fascinating story that begins from the bush and ends in your cup!
Day 06 – Jorhat – Tezpur (4 hrs / 165 kms approx.)
Today we drive to Tezpur. It lies on the northern banks of the Brahmaputra River. Tezpur is bestowed with lush tea gardens and the place has ruins that date back to the century making it the oldest of the places to be inhabited in Assam.
Check-in at hotel. Evening free for individual activity and leisure.
Overnight at Tezpur.
Day 07 – Tezpur local Sightseeing + Tezpur to Bomdila (4-4.5hrs / 160 kms)
Morning, after breakfast check out of hotel at Tezpur and proceed for local sightseeing covering Agnigarh, Bamuni Hills, Chitralekha Udyan, Da Parbatia and the District Museum (subject to time constraints).
Later transfer to picturesque Bomdila. Check-in at hotel. Time free to stroll around and appreciate the scenery. Of course, we‘ll revisit this beautiful place on our return journey.
Day 08 – Bomdila to Tawang (6hrs / 175 kms)
Morning, after breakfast, drive to Tawang (10,000 ft). On the way witness the unique Dirang Valley famous for its monasteries, hot Springs, Apple & kiwi Orchards, sheep breeding farms & charming valleys. Also witness the snow-capped Sella Pass at 13700 ft, the Jaswant Garh War Memorial Legend has it that Jaswant (Mahavir Chakra Awardee (Posthumous) of 4th Battalion Garhwal Rifles), fought a lone battle against the invading Chinese during the 1962 war. His spirit is still believed to protect the place and Jung Falls.
Overnight in Tawang.
Day 09 – Tawang local Sightseeing
After breakfast, visit the Tawang Monastery, Urgelling Monastery, AniGompa and PTso Lake. The Tawang Monastery, also known as the “GADEN NAMGYEL LHATSE” is one of the largest Lamaseries of the Mahayana sect in Asia and is the largest of its kind in India. The Monastery is 400-years old and is adorned with an 18 feet high statue of Lord Buddha. It stands at 10,000 feet amidst the exotic Himalayan ranges and overlooks the Tawang-Chu valley. The Urgelling Monastery is located 5 km from Tawang city, and is the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama, born in the 17th century. The monastery was established by Lama Urgen Sangpo in the 15th century. Mongpa village visit will acquaint a visitor to their lifestyle, culture and traditions.

Day 10 – Tawang – Madhuri Lake – China Border – Tawang
Morning, after breakfast proceed for sightseeing covering “Bumla Pass” & “Sangster Lake” (popularly known as Madhuri Lake) & War Memorial. Overnight stay at hotel in Tawang.
Note: Bumlah pass visit depends on Weather conditions and availability of Permit, We will assist you in managing the permit for that. Bumlah Pass, Madhuri Lake.( Named after Bollywood star Madhuri Dixit)0!)
Sightseeing has to be done through Arunachal Pradesh Local union Vehicle, our Assam registered vehicle is not allowed to move there, hence you have to bear this Arunachal Pradesh Local Union Vehicle cost for these Sightseeing Points. We will assist you in managing this extra vehicle (we have included the charges for 01 sumo vehicle for the same).
Day 11 – Tawang to Bomdila (approx. 175 Kms / 6 Hrs drive)
Morning, Drive to Bomdila. The town of Bomdila is a picturesque destination located in the foothills of the Himalayas. One can view the brilliant landscape and snow-clad Gorichen ranges of the Himalayas on a clear day.
On arrival, check-in to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Overnight in Bomdila.
Day 12 – Bomdila to Kaziranga (5.5 hrs / 200 kms)
Morning, after breakfast transfer to Kaziranga. Kaziranga was declared a National Park in 1974 and UNESCO declared it a World Heritage Site in 1985. The Park hosts two-thirds of the world’s population of Single Horn Rhinos.
Day 13 – Kaziranga Jungle Safari
After breakfast, enjoy a round of Jeep Safari at any of the ranges (Central / Western / Eastern) depending on availability. Apart from the Rhino, other species found are hog deer, swamp deer, wild buffalo, elephants and if you are lucky, the tiger. It is virtually a paradise for bird watchers, with a variety of migratory and resident birds.
Later in the afternoon enjoy another round of jeep safari at Kaziranga at any of the ranges (Central / Western / Eastern). Later return to city hotel. Evening at Leisure. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
Early morning go for an Elephant ride in the park. (Elephant riding time: 1st Ride- 5.15-6.15 AM; 2nd ride: 6.30-7.30 am) – This the guests need to opt for on a direct payment basis.
Day 14 – Kaziranga – Majuli (3hrs / 100 kms) // Majuli- Jorhat (40 mins / 20 kms) (There are daily flights to Kolkata departing around 1400 Hrs.)
Morning, after early breakfast proceed to Majuli by road. This is the world’s largest River Island situated in the midst of River Brahmaputra. The Island had a total area of 1,250 square kilometers at the beginning of the 20th century but now only has an area of 352 square kilometers as of 2014, having lost considerably to erosion.
Majuli is a hub of Assamese neo-Vaishnavite culture, initiated around 15th century by the revered Assamese saint Srimanta Sankardeva and his disciple Madhavdeva. Later take the return ferry to Nimatighat and drive to Jorhat Airport to board a flight for the journey towards onward destination.
